With great joy we come to announce that we’ve been recognised by the UN Global Compact - Brazil Network for our excellent practices in promoting human rights, especially in the movement known as "Elas Lideram 2030".
The award, given during the 68th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York, recognises companies that stand out in defending the human rights of women and young girls, especially the most vulnerable.
The CSW, the main global forum on the subject, brought reunited leaders such as Brazil's Minister for Women, Mrs. Cida Goncalves, and Mrs. Ana Fontes, Brazil's lead delegate to the W20. "All of our initiatives, debates, and awards in New York respond to various Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 5, on gender equality. We need to move forward on this agenda and it is the Global Compact's mission to bring company leaders to action and to help organisations to do so," explains Mrs. Camila Valverde, director of Frente de Impacto and COO of the UN Global Compact - Brazil Network.
The Global Compact calls on companies around the world to align their operations and strategies with ten universal principles in the fields of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. Other companies have also been awarded by the UN for their good practices in favour of gender equality, such as Unilever, Nestlé, and Ambev.
"This recognition is one of the axes of our strategy to leverage Ambition 2030, an initiative created to accelerate the journey of companies towards fulfilling the SDGs," says Mrs. Tayná Leite, Head of Human Rights and Labour at the UN Global Compact - Brazil Network.
We won this award thanks to our solid commitment to supporting women's entrepreneurship. We actively integrate this mission into every stage of our supply chains and into our marketing strategies, empowering women and promoting gender equality.
We are deeply grateful to all our employees, partners, and customers who support us on this journey!
