This achievement means that Pontes not only fully complies with the requirements for UEBT’s Responsible Sourced level that cover mitigation of negative impacts, supply chain due diligence, and risk management, but also with the requirements for Ethically Sourced level that promotes positive impact for people and biodiversity.
We were the first carnauba wax manufacturer to be awarded with the UEBT Sourcing with Respect Certification in 2019, and we are the only one among all to have achieved the highest UEBT Verified Ethically Sourced.
